Gary Lancaster is a leading innovator in the metal fabrication industry. He began AK Metal Fabricators, Inc. in 1988 after working as a welder for 11 years. Before his welding days, Lancaster studied art at East Carolina University, in Greenville, NC. His eye and passion for custom design is what has landed AK in prestigious buildings and homes throughout the country.

AK’s emphasis on true craftsmanship is what sets it apart from the rest. AK is well known for specializing in high-end commercial and interior metal fabrication, offering a variety of services ranging from hoods and countertops to handrails and staircases.
